I'm involved in two new KALs. One is the Knitters of Avalon KAL, hosted by Em and Brooke. IN this one, we read Mists of Avalon, have some good discussions and then knit something inspired by the book. And there will be prizes. I must say, I zoomed through this thick book. I enjoyed it so much.
The second KAL is one that I am co-hosting with Em. (Actually I'm head of Ravenclaw house. Yep, that's right, I've ousted Flitwick.) In this KAL we are reading one HP book each month until Book 7 is released. That way, we'll be refreshed on all that has occured in the wizarding world for the past six years. There will also be projects and prizes in this one too.
I admit that I made these two buttons and that they are utterly basic. But there is only so much you can do with one hand while the other arm is holding, feeding, and trying to calm a 4 week old baby. And you are working on about 3 hours sleep a night on average.
I've started the first book again. It's great to be back in the Wizarding World. That's one thing I will miss when the book is released - the excitement of a new book and new adventures.

I think the buttons are lovely and am completely mystified as to how you made them. Great work altogether! I am really excited bout both KALs too, should be a fun few months. Hope all is well at home :)

Ann. I knew about the HP KAL but it somehow did not register that you were a cohost. I reread the entire series while I was pregnant with Henry but know I will want to read them again to prepare for book seven.
Take care,
Karen

aww you are too sweet and please, feel free to come and visit anytime you want. You should bring the young 'un with you too :) I would love it if at some point we could actually make that happen, meet you all face to face, needle to needle.
About Project Spectrum, I would highly recommend you join up. One of the big things the organiser goes on about is that it is a 'no pressure' thing, just something for fun. Maybe you could coordinate Flora's babygrows with each months colour!

ooooooo, that sounds so cool! I'd love to join. Could you sign me up? I couldn't figure out how to join from the KAL site. Thanks!
